Mary Higgs, MA, founded Yogi Able to break down barriers and make yoga and mindfulness practices more accessible to underserved populations. Given her background as a community college educator, a former editor and journalist, a breast cancer awareness coordinator from the Midwest, and someone with a spinal cord injury - Mary has a unique ability to speak to and reach people who maybe would have never considered getting to use these tools but will get so much out of them. Her down-to-earth approach amplifies her mission: demystifying yoga and mindfulness by teaching people to explore and trust their inner wisdom, so they can live more authentically and fully.
“I’m from the heartland. I speak from the heart. I write from the heart and I know that the path to wholeness and authenticity comes from the heart. Yoga and mindfulness practices are truly for all and should be accessible for all.”
