Mary Higgs, MA, founded Yogi Able to break down barriers and make yoga and mindfulness practices more accessible to underserved populations. Given her background as a community college educator, a former editor and journalist, a breast cancer awareness coordinator from the Midwest, and someone with a spinal cord injury - Mary has a unique ability to speak to and reach people who maybe would have never considered getting to use these tools but will get so much out of them. Her down-to-earth approach amplifies her mission: demystifying yoga and mindfulness by teaching people to explore and trust their inner wisdom so they can live more authentically and fully.
“I’m from the heartland. I speak from the heart. I write from the heart and I know that the path to wholeness and authenticity comes from the heart. Yoga and mindfulness practices are truly for all and should be accessible for all.”
Mindful Practice provides readers with a comprehensive 5-step exploration method that I have meticulously developed. Through engaging exercises and insightful teachings, my book teaches individuals to reclaim focus, cultivate productivity, reduce stress, and ignite passion in their lives.
